I am a Toast

So, I made a toast costume to wear to school today. It was about 80 F here, and I felt like I was in a blanket all day. I even tried doing yoga poses in the costume. It was like bikram yoga because it felt so toasty. Hah! :)

So please ignore this horrible lighting (I have yet to set up my studio in the new apt) and enjoy!

Riskybeads Nurse Purse

I was browsing Riskybeads shop and saw this really cute jade pendant and thought, "Cute! I want it." Keep in mind that I sewed that little purse that comes with it. So I was pretty much going to buy my own product to get the necklace that comes with it. They look so great together! Lori has an amazing eye for design and mixing the perfect colors and textures together to make really beautiful and very affordable jewelry! I get more compliments on my necklaces that I wear from her store than I do for my own purses I make. Seriously.

Anyway, I've been meaning to blog about Lori's great Nurse Purses, which is our little collaborative effort to pair a very trendy pendant necklace with cute little drawstring bag that you can keep in your baby bag at all times and pull it out during nursing so baby can have something to stay focused and play with while feeding. Beats pulling out the earrings or the excruciating pinching, eh? Not a mommy? These babies make GREAT Christmas gifts; a necklace in matching wrapping, and Lori can even gift wraps the entire thing, too! Double the gift unwrapping.

Such a great idea.

Early Christmas Wishlist

I've been slowly "favorite-ing" some items that I absolutely must have on Etsy. :) As I'm slowly making money, I'm purchasing some of these items. i.e. I finally got this pendant from Risky Beads after eyeing it for weeks!

Anyway, here's my early Christmas Wishlist:

I have to admit, if I had enough money, I would purchase one of EVERY item from gaia conceptions. Andrea's clothing looks amazing! I have yet to purchase an item. Saving up for that Peacekeeper shirt! She designs, sews, and DYES all the clothing herself! What a talent.

Oh, if only I could sell more bags so I can get these...*wink*.

The Art (and Science) of Cooking

When I originally wrote this blog entry, I was going to discuss my science method cooking, but I ended up rambling about something else (the effects of taking 2 exams within 2 days, having a graphic design project due at the same time, and spending hours programming). I will write something substantial when I can gather my thoughts more eloquently.
